A Training Pool Since 1986

Yio Chu Kang Swimming Complex opened on 1 July 1986 as part of the Yio Chu Kang Sport Centre. It was built to serve residents in the upper Ang Mo Kio area, providing a no-frills training facility with a full-sized competition pool, teaching pool and wading pool for young children.

The complex sits right next to Yio Chu Kang MRT station (NS15), making it one of the most MRT-accessible pools in Singapore - roughly a 5-minute walk from the station. The 650-seat spectator gallery means it can host school swimming meets and district competitions.

Part of the broader Yio Chu Kang Sport Centre, the complex shares the site with other sports facilities. It remains a straightforward, well-maintained training pool - no fancy slides or themed water play, just solid lanes and calm water for serious swimmers and learners alike.
